This is my reaction to visiting Nicaragua as part of a study delegation that was to visit with government officials, scientists, aid organizations, social activists, and some communities of campesino farmers in an effort to understand a possible link between climate change and its affects on extreme poverty and hunger.  I was chosen because I am a photographer, and I was to capture our experience in a sort of visual narrative, but I was affected on a different level and what I produced became something that I would have never imagined as our plane landed in Managua.
