This month, Washington State and Federal officials announced a court-enforceable schedule for clean up of the Hanford Site. Hanford lies in the southeast corner of Washington State. It expands across an area of land about a third of the size of Rhode Island. Science reporter Audrey Quinn spoke with members of the Department of Energy and the Environmental Protection Agency about the technology used to tackle this large project.
