- Andrew Parsons
Linda never knew politics or democracy. She grew up in sheltered home in south western Pennsylvania, quiting school to take care of her seven younger siblings once their mother died. In 1967, she left her home to move to Baltimore and eventually started vending hot dogs. Through this job Linda experienced the best years of her life; learning about civic participation, registering to vote and witnessing various protests. Now in her later years and back in Pennsylvania, Linda reflects on how those years shaped who she is now.
