Woodstock Retrospective CelebrationFred has done it again - creating a show with heart! This time brilliantly weaving together the times, the politics and the music of Woodstock. I wasn't there 40 years ago, but this show brings it all home; celebrating the party that grew into a concert, that ultimately became the Woodstock Festival. Thanks for the trip, man! |

Great Memories! This is fantastic! Great hisorical info and the music - wow! Listening to the wonderful music of that period brings back great memories of the political upheaval and changes that occured during that time period. The changes so well documented in the music. Fred Migliore's is a master of tying it all in together and putting together a masterful program of both music and information. Delightful listening!! |

Learned it and felt it
I loved the details Fred and Pete wove in between the songs. The "big stars" (Santana, Joan Baez, CSN&Y etc) were covered, but also the groups that have slipped out of the headlines over the years - Thunderclap Newman, Bert Sommer, Mountain. Highlights for me were the interview with Richie Havens and the audio montage of announcements over Joni's song. I got chills at the end of "I Feel Like I'm Fixin to Die Rag". Duke Devlin was a blast too - wrapping up with his interview was icing on the cake.
Great Show - I'm listening for a 2nd time now to try and absorb it.
