People want things all the time. Sometimes you get them. Sometimes you don't. Sometimes you end up with something you hadn't even dreamed about -- but end up liking it anyway. Cyrus Farivar has this story.
NARR:
Lisa spent her junior year in Senegal. She loved it. She missed it. And a few weeks after returning back to her home in Washington DC, Youssou N'Dour was giving a concert.

She was psyched about speaking Wolof, Senegal's lingua franca.

When I was dancing next to this woman who just had an adorable
little girl and said "Sa xalé rafet na" and she thanked me and I
just wanted to say things that would not have been out of the
ordinary in English. "Excuse me, your kid is really cute." Those
are things that I would absolutely say to strange...
