My daughter entered KSFR's studios for the first time at 2 weeks old and then went back again almost every week. She helped out with pledge drives and events while spending a lot of time listening to public radio.
Each Father's Day we sit down at the "big microphone" for a special show...and each year I am always impressed with her poise and presence. We talk about kindergarten, NPR, public radio and she even turns the tables and asks me a few questions!
Also included is a portion of our AVR interview with Ben Binstock on his book "Vermeer's Family Secrets" talking about how the master painter apprenticed his daughter to produce paintings that helped their family during harsh economic times. the almost 400 year old story has strong resonance today.
