It started with a vision - to get back to the land and create a community centered on sustainable living. The year was 1972 when Edd and Betsy Wemple bought 320 acres on top of a mountain in Saginaw, Oregon. From there a forest worker's cooperative was born - the Hoedads. Since then, grandchildren have been born on the mountain. The kids and the parents- Noah and Anna (Ah-nah') Wemple are living the dream that started back in '72. From station KLCC in Eugene, Oregon, Angela Kellner tells the story of Cougar Mountain.
