Piece Description
(Also host intro)
The Lane County (Oregon) Visitor's Bureau recently released a new logo they hope highlights the quintessential natural and recreational attractions of the county. At the very center of that new logo is the silhouette of two men in a boat - one seated, one standing, mid-cast, with a fly rod. The boat they're sitting in is a Mckenzie River drift boat - a rapid-running fishing boat that was designed and built along the shores of the Mckenzie River. You can't go far without seeing one of these iconic boats sitting in a yard, being pulled on a trailer, or drifting along one of Oregon's rivers. From station KLCC in Eugene, Oregon, Jes Burns has this history.
