For our premiere episode, we hosted Dr. Gary LeRoy, Associate Dean of Student Affairs and Admissions at the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University. Conversation ranged from issues such as the future of primary care in the current political climate... to what it's like to receive a "pie in the face." In addition, we were joined in the studio by two current medical students -- Susan Conrad, who discussed the recent Match Day ceremonies for fourth year students, and Stephen Zitelli, who described the life of a third year medical student. INTRO:

"Radio Rounds" is a show produced entirely by medical students, featuring physicians and other guests from all over the country. The show is hosted by Avash Kalra and Lakshman Swamy, first year medical students at Wright State University's Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, OH. They discuss the personal experiences of physicians through their medical careers as well as broader topics ranging from the future of health care to public health, medical ethics, and the patient's perspective.

This episode aired April 12th of 2009. Radio Rounds hosted Dr. Gary LeRoy, a Dean at the Boonshoft School of Medicine, who described his personal story as well as his views on the importance of primary care and the doctor-patient relationship. Medical students in their third and fourth years gave their perspective on medical education on the show as well.
