Superb recordings (1950 - present day) which are of extraordinary quality, but were never
"hit records" (for any number of reasons). They should have been. Many
of them are far superior to much of what has been regarded as "popular"
over the years, and they fall into any number of genres from bluegrass
to blues, pop to rock, adult contemporary to electronic (though most
could be categorized in the triple-A / AC genre). Underrated, undervalued, under the radar.
