Reliquary_small Dave Herman and Bill Skanga present the City Reliquary, a storefront museum in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Featuring the world's largest collection of Statue of Liberty postcards and the assembled seltzer bottles of Brooklyn, the City Reliquary has shared trash as treasure with the public since 2002.

A project that grew out of Herman's first floor window has became a become a space dedicated to making New Yorkers think about the history of the places they live in.  Taking collecting from hoarding to sharing, Herman and Skanga hope the City Reliquary makes visitors pay more attention to all the objects in our daily lives.

We're living in historic times. The City Reliquary in Brooklyn celebrated its third anniversary this month in its museum space. This Brooklyn institution is determined to make New Yorkers notice the changes going on around them. Independent producer Emma Jacobs reports from Williamsburg.
