Until producer and host Reese Erlich interviewed John McLaughlin backstage at the Barcelona Jazz Festival, he had no idea the impact of Spanish music on McLaughlin’s guitar style. McLaughlin is world famous for playing with Miles Davis in the late 60s and early 70s. He achieved fame once again by founding the Indian-inspired Mahavishnu Orchestra.
