Syria is home to more than a million Iraqi refugees. Most of them live in the capital city, Damascus. Those who’ve finished high school face a challenge: where and how to go to college? Education is expensive in Syria, and few refugees can afford it.
But an American couple in Damascus is opening doors for Iraqi refugees who want to go to college in America. Will Everett reports.
