If you are ready to sit back and listen, I’ll tell you a story that might make you laugh. At the age of 72 I was diagnosed with sleep apnea. It was my understanding that my brain had not had any neurological sleep for 65 years which explained why I was always tired and had never been able to work an 8 to 4 job like normal people.

I was referred to a company named Apria Healthcare where I got a breathing machine which came with a mask to strap over my nose. I was told that the machine would enable my brain to sleep at night and I would no longer be exhausted in the afternoon.

But a follow-up computer analysis of my sleeping habits revealed that the mask didn’t work right because my mouth came open when I fell asleep. One of my neighbors suggested I tape my mouth shut with duct tape, but, after I called them only twice, my friends at Apria sent me a chin strap. The strap is about 3...
