Transcript

JA: Hello, I’m Jad Abumrad.
RK: [low] I don’t know. I don’t think we should.
JA: Robert, just say your line.
RK: No. No.
JA: Come on.
RK: I’m Robert Krulwich.
JA: And together we host Radio Lab and we’re coming to you today.
RK: The thing is it’s kind of rude and we don’t know them or anything and they don’t really know us that well.
JA: Robert, just think about it, OK? If they’re hearing us right now, they’re listening; they probably like public radio. They probably rely on it. They’re probably even thinking about pledging. So if you just do it they might say yes. Co ahead. Please!
RK: I’d like you to consider making a gift to this station.
JA: See, was that so hard?
RK: Do you think they’ll do it?
JA: I think they will, yeah.
RK: You do?
JA: Here’s how.
