Transcript for the Piece Audio version of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.- The Massey Lectures

All this week we have been hearing the voice, the stories and the passion of Martin Luther King Jr. It’s been more than forty years since he was assassinated, but his words still ring strong and his message still stirs. Today we’ll hear more from King’s Massey lectures, which first aired in 1967 on the CBC Radio program Ideas. His title was "Conscience for Change." Yesterday King talked about the Vietnam War and how he had come to believe that it was both immoral and unnecessary. And that’s where we pick it up today.
