Chuck Berry first hit the music charts in 1955... more than 50 years ago. This piece packs in comments from a longtime band mate, the curator of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, an expert on Berry's history and, of course, from Chuck Berry. Berry rarely gives interviews... so this is a treat. You'll also hear music from the Beatles and a controversial song from the Beach Boys that prompted Chuck Berry to take them to court. From interviews conducted in 1998.
