Dscf2438_small U.S. versus Rest of the World Friendship Foundations struggle for their votes. There are somewhere between 4 and 6 million Americans living outside of the U.S. of A. and many of them, these expatriats, debate the coming elections possibly even more vigorous than voters at home. Unlike in the States, it almost looks like they have sharper edges as freedom to think and act are far greater abroad than at home. There is no, or almost no, peer pressure. We listened to an Obama backing couple in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. 9 McCain backers did not want to receive and see us. Without exception it seemed they were either shy, afraid or embarrassed.
