I asked residents of Chicago's Rogers Park neighborhood, "What do you want to be when you grow up?"
It seems that at a certain age, growing up seems like a thing of the past - something only for youngens and awkward teenagers.
I was inspired by a Tom Waits song called "I Don't Wanna Grow Up" from the album Bone Machine. I encourage a listen: the raspy ol' maverick Waits sings about the looming troubles of the world through the eyes of a child (!)
