Piece Description

Childhood gives way to adolescence. Creativity gives way to self-consciousness. Innocence gives way to a sense of wrongdoing. I look on this episode as the story of loss -- loss of creative innocence and 4 years of work. But my mom reminded me that the process also gave me 4 years of enjoyment. And helped me make friends. And, gosh, where would we be without rules? Still, it's too bad learning the rules so often means silencing our voices.
