Piece Description

The new album "Full Tilt" is the seventh album from Chicago's Lil' Ed & The Blues Imperials. Lil' Ed Williams, learned slide guitar from a master, his uncle, the great J. B. Hutto, who was also a teacher and mentor to Williams's half-brother Pookie Young, bass player in the Imperials. There aren't many blues slide guitarists in Lil' Ed's league. "Full Tilt" showcases an exciting high-energy performer and a great blues band. There are a few very strong songs on the album, and others that would fall by the wayside in the hands of a less talented band.
