Discoveries At Walt Disney Concert Hall: Rosanne Cash
Series: Discoveries At Walt Disney Concert Hall
From: NPR Music
Length: 00:59:00
Using her album Black Cadillac recording as the roadmap, Rosanne Cash reflects on her soul-searching journey and musical legacy in an intensely personal performance. Written during the final days, and eventual passing, of her stepmother, June Carter Cash, her father, Johnny Cash, and her mother, Vivian Cash Distin, the songs reflect her own personal journey, but also express universal concepts about loss and acceptance. In the concert, Cash weaves interpretations of American masters and the Carter-Cash heritage through her own rich song catalog.
