In the early 1980's John Doe coformed the punk band X. He and his cohorts were responding to mainstream music of the late 70's, music they felt had lost its soul. Doe has aged along with the rest of us, but he hasn't lost his passion. He continues to turn out moving and poetic solo work. HIs latest CD is called "A Year in the Wilderness".
