Chuck Prophet began his career when he was barely out of his teens with an influential roots band called "Green on Red". In his solo career he's managed to defy easy classification, embracing roots, rock and country at different turns. His voice has an almost "swampy" quality and he takes a novelistic approach to songwriting. His latest CD is called "Soap and Water".
