Brunastudents_small John Bruna never expected to become a role model. From growing up in a crime-ridden family on the mean streets of LA to a life of homelessness and addiction, estranged from his only daughter, he's today one of the most beloved teachers at Jordan High School in Long Beach. But he made an even more radical transformation which makes him the easiest teacher to spot in the school yard. He became ordained as a Tibetan Buddhist monk and became "someone worth finding".
