Although Bossa Nova put Brazilian music on the map, a rising interest in so-called 'world music' has helped to spread the word about the diversity of the music of Brazil. David Brown's report, released in June 2008, is part of the documentary special "Brazil Rising" produced by the Stanley Foundation, KQED Public Radio, and KUT Austin.
