Peace Talks Radio: A Nonviolent Video Strategy Game (29:00)
From: Good Radio Shows, Inc.
Series: Peace Talks Radio - Series of Half-Hours
Length: 29:04
A conversation with Ivan Marovic, one of the founders of the Serb student resistance movement that helped remove Serbian president Slobodon Milosovic from power in 2000, without violence. He has since been active with the International Center on Nonviolent Conflict and was also a consultant in the development of a nonviolent strategy computer game called A FORCE MORE POWERFUL. To win this game, you have to craft a strategy against an oppressor that will bring about change without resorting to violence.
In this program, Marovic shares with host Paul Ingles details about nonviolent strategies that work in real life, and how they are simulated in the video game.
