Description:

Some other world leaders may boycott the Olympic Games in Beijing to protest China's abysmal human rights record, but President Bush says he'll be there -- because boycotting the Games would be a political act and the Olympics are strictly about athletics. What a quaint notion. as usual, the primary concern will be whether one country's athletes win more medals than another country's athletes. And that's just one example of how extremely political the Games are. They're also highly commercial, a chance for athletes, broadcasters and sporting goods companies to make lots of money.
