A Musician's Life: Jason Isbell

From WXPN | Part of the A Musician's Life series | 00:05:00
Producers: Tracey Tanenbaum

When Jason Isbell left the Southern Rock band Drive by Truckers last year he shocked the group's intensely loyal fan base. Emotionally and creatively Isbell felt he had no choice.

Jason Isbell joined Drive by Truckers when he was barely out of his teens. Seven years into his tenure with the band, Jason needed a change. His marriage to a fellow band member was crumbling. He also wanted to write and record his own music. His latest CD is called "Sirens of the Ditch".
