Researchers studying Sage Grouse mating habits in Wyoming?have introduced some new sounds into their research. They?ve added noise from Truck Traffic and Drilling Rigs to the lek?or the birds traditional mating ground. The research is of major interest to the Wyoming Game and Fish Department as they continue trying to find ways to reverse some disturbing decreases in the numbers of Sage Grouse in the Powder River Basin and the Pinedale Anti-cline.
