Saturday, April 12, 2008 - The 14th Dalai Lama, the spiritual leader of Tibet, delivered the keynote speech of a 5-day conference on compassion in Seattle, Washington. An estimated 50,000 people looked on and listened intently on a brilliant sunny day at Qwest Field, football home of the Seattle Seahawks. His remarks are carried here in their entirety. 53:00, hosted by Paul Ingles. One :30 break midway. (Note: Dalai Lama does not directly address the conflict between China and Tibet but this talk is among his first public appearances on a U.S. Tour since the controversy re-emerged into the headlines.)
