Radio Producer and Ellenville Journal Reporter Joe Bevilacqua saw something moving down Route 209 in the Catskills of New York State on December 21 that made him think he had traveled back in time: a covered wagon pulled by three mighty draft horses. It was Lee The Horselogger, who starting out from East Glacier, Montana on August 9, 2006, with only $75 and two weeks' worth of food, in a cross county quest was to visit his childhood sweetheart.
Lee did meet his childhood gal, who is now married with children. Instead of rekindling his old love affair, Lee fell in love with America. Lee now lives out of the wagon he built and depends a great deal on the kindness of people he encounters along the way. Bevilacqua found him, his wagon, three horses and two Great Pyrenees dogs, camped out in the parking lot of Minnewaska Motors in Kerhonkson, New York and had the following conversation:

Review of "The Love of Lee the Horselogger"
Finding a covered wagon in a used car lot,would sure peak your intrest. This story did the same for me. I found it to be very inviting and made me wish I could be that adventuresome, but knowing this to be impossible, I enjoyed traveling at his slow but interesting pace. Joe has a way of making you feel what the person in front of him feels. It was 'GREAT'...
