This lively hour of stories, songs and poems about love were performed before a live audience at Aroma Thyme Bistro in Ellenville, New York. Among the highlights of the evening was a parody of "Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolfe?" called "Who's Afraid of a Virginian's Wrath?" as played by George and Martha Washington, performed by husband and wife team Joe Bevilacqua and Lorie Kellogg. Also featured are: - Steve Krulick singing schmaltzy love songs from the early 20th century, - new poetry from Frank Malley - the comedy of Ray Faiola and Wayne Hosford - Lorie Kellogg singing "The Aroma Thyme Bistro Opera" and reading "Ode to a Transfer Station," -Joe and Lorie in a sketch called "Valentine Vignette." There is also some great piano playing by Wayne Hosford and a healthy eating tip from Aroma Thyme Bistro owner and chef Marcus Giuliano. Review of "Love" - Live at Aroma Thyme Bistro
The light sound of clanking dishes and real-time laughter with applause is a reminder that this was recorded before a live audience. I was inspired to literally join the crowd with my own piece of cherry pie served with coffee. It would seem that no matter where you are, this piece would transport you to the friendly environment of Aroma Thyme Bistro in Ellenville, New York
Packed with entertaining skits, stories, and songs, this hour-long special moves along at a perfect pace. Anyone who listens to this will no doubt come away with something memorable to talk about with friends later. My personal favorite came in part two with the hilarious, "Words, Words, Words" skit.
