Battle-tested seems to new catch phrase on the democratic campaign trail. Iowa?s first Lady Mari Culver used the term today (Monday) when she endorsed former vice presidential candidate John Edwards. Meanwhile former First Lady Hillary Clinton often uses the phrase to describe herself. In fact during lunch-time campaign stop in Des Moines, she once again promised a vigorous fight against any republican attacks in the general election.
