Piece Description

Democratic presidential candidate Chris Dodd says the Bush administration is partially to blame for the turmoil in Pakistan. Dodd delivered his criticism during a forum at drake university today (Monday). He says the u-s relied too heavily on Pakistan to ferret out the Taliban in Afghanistan. He says that put undo pressure on President General Musharraf?who has faced multiple assassination attempts. Dodd says u-s should continue to encourage Musharraf to lift martial law in Pakstian and reach out to his political opposition. However Dodd says the u-s should not cut off military or economic aid as some have suggested.
