In addition to "Appalachian Spring," "El Salon Mexico," and "Fanfare for the Common Man," this program includes a humorous excerpt from an interview with the composer. This program was originally distributed nationally in 2002 by the WFMT Radio Network. Its re-editing and re-release in 2007 has been made possible by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and the PRX Reversioning Project.
