Description:

Our 10th anniversary of FM Odyssey's 'Home for Thanksgiving show is packed with highlights from previous Thanksgivings.

Guests include Dan Fogelberg, Judy Collins, Jesse Colin Young, Michael Jonathan, Susan Graham White and Arlo Guthrie.

First Hour Highlights include:

Songs to help center ourselves, reminding us how important it is to take time to de-compress from the things that distract us from smelling the cool crisp air and the wonder of this time of the year.

Some of the songs we included were Arcadian Driftwood from The Band, Who Knows Where The Time Goes from Fairport Convention and Country Comforts from Elton Johns Tumbleweed Connection album.

Second Hour Highlights include:

The second hour kicks it up a notch by starting with a very powerful recollection from Jesse Colin Young about a dream he had visiting the Lakota Reservaton, followed by the song he wrote about the dream called Before You Came.

Annie Humphrey, an Anishinabee Native American follows with a chilling song she wrote called 500 years, a biographical song about the journey of Native Americans.

We followed that with a live in studio visit from Michael Jonathan, who joined us for our first Thanksgiving show in 1997. He sings us a reflective song about Henry David Thoreaus journey through life.

We then switched gears to a comical look at the busiest shopping day of the year, the day after Thanksgiving!!

This hour continues with a humorous set of songs about the foods we consume on Thanksgiving and beyond.

Featured artists in this set include: The Beatles, Rob Carlsons parody song called Eggs Like These, Baby We Were Born To Run, set to the Springsteen song Born to Run. Cheryl Wheelers Potato follows that along with Larry Groces Junk Food Junkie and more.

This second hour concludes with our in studio visit from Judy Collins and her recollections of Thanksgiving with a special song from her.

Third Hour Highlights include:

Arlo Guthrie did an exclusive, updated version of Alices Restaurant, for FM Odyssey, that he performed from the stage of the Riverside Theater in Vero Beach, Florida..

The show winds down with an in studio visit from Susan Graham White that kicks off our last set of the program, featuring songs about the transition from Fall to Winter with tunes like Song For a Winters Night from Gordan Lightfoot, New York State Of Mind from the Mark-Almond Band, Christmas Wrappings from the Waitresses and Nut rocker from Emerson, Lake and Palmer.

All in all, it is a warm ,delightful and top shelf journey, perfect for the holiday and weekend.

If your are looking to fill programming slots during those four days, this is the show.
