Producer/presenter Fred Flaxman presents vocal, instrumental, choral and orchestral transcriptions of one of Rachmaninov's most beautiful melodies, his "Vocalise," which he wrote originally for voice and piano. A script with playlist of the program is available here and at www.compactdiscoveries.com. This program was originally distributed by the WFMT Radio Network in 2003. Re-editing and release in 2007 was made possible by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and the PRX Reversioning Project.
