Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow - Homosexuality
From: Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow- Phil Mariage
Series: Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow
Length: 24:00
One of the most controversial topics we have covered over the last 7 years is the subject of this program Homosexuality. It is controversial not because of comments my guests gave, but because we live in a time when just the mention of the word separates us into opposing camps. Listening to the program you will discover that my guests are very well spoken and dignified in discussing the important issues concerning homosexuality among the generations.
My guests are Norman Jones speaking from the older generation. Norman owns Backstreet and Discovery, two gay bars in the central Arkansas area. His memories take us back well over 50 years on the subject. Randi Romo speaks from the middle generation era and is the co-founder and director of the Center for Artistic Revolution, which is a social justice organization. She is a lesbian who has had a lifetime of social rejection for her personal position. Finally, my guest from the younger generation is Timothy Kessler. Timothy is a student at UALR and is the current Miss Gay Little Rock-America. He is an active female impersonator.
The Podcast of the program is available on itunes and had much more material than we could keep in this half hour program format. Even in this shorter form, I think you will find this to be a very engaging topic and one that will give everyone something to think about.
