Why? Why did I have to find this program? I listened, I was completely hooked from the start, I was elated that I had found such a great series to start following...then I noticed the production date. Did a little more digging and found out that the program ended years ago. Rats!
Now I have to work out a plan to listen to the remaining episodes in intervals so that I can make the series last as long as possible. The anticipation of listening mixed with the dread of reaching the end is a brutal combination.
Bravo, Roman Mars. Excellent work. Incredible program.
Listen to find out what happens to Skippy and the lime zoot suit in downtown Fargo! Listen to find out why Kim rear-ends a car full of Germans just to avoid a public radio pledge drive. Listen to find out what happens to Bill and Steve in Serbia. Listen and find out what the world smells like. Listen. Entertaining. Great radio.
This quite unexpectedly made me laugh outloud all alone in front of my computer. It also taps into that special delicacy that public radio listeners must covet, that pleasure in the narrative, what I might personally term "the story gesture." You don't get it anywhere else besides in reading, do you? Plus this is young, passionate and professional. The next generation.
