We'll feature tracks from Dee Dee Bridgewater's album "Red Earth" in this show. This album was recorded in Mali (mostly) and represents Bridgewater's musical and personal journey to the land of her ancestors. Joined by members of her band and African musicians, she puts new dimension into both jazz classics and African songs. This hour also features new music from the Chris Bergson band, a brand-new album from Azeri pianist Aziza Mustafa Zadeh, the pointed musical commentary of Super Chikan, and classic jazz from Brubeck, Monk, and Gene Ammons.
