Sofia Lyons and Elizabeth Eppley are 12 and 13 years old and they live in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Right now, their plan for when they grow up is to share an apartment in Manhattan, get a dog, study fashion at FIT, and have part time jobs until their careers as designers take off.
They both keep fashion journals--sketch books where they develop their concepts and designs for 3 separate lines of clothing--and they've been planning their Halloween costumes since July.
In this piece you hear the girls tag-team description/explanation of their high-end peanut butter and jelly costume concept interwoven with some of their thoughts about fashion as a means for personal expression.
