Mel Brown - a remembrance

Piece Description

After ten years "Long Time Coming," the new album from Nappy Brown is indeed a "long time coming." Napoleon Brown Culp, better known as Nappy Brown, is reviving his career with this album and a stepped-up touring schedule. He re-makes a number of his hits on this album, including "Don't Be Angry" as well as a new recording of a song that wasn't a hit for him when he first cut it, but later clicked with Ray Charles-- "Night Time Is The Right Time." Brown's album is upbeat and enjoyable, finding the 77-year-old bluesman in fine form.
