Steve Kinsella's book is "900 Miles From Nowhere" which includes photographs, diary excerpts and letters from homesteaders of the Great Plains in the mid 1800's. Yuko Taniguchi's novel is "The Ocean in the Closet" and tells the story of a young girl who is trying to find what home is to not only her, but her mentally ill mother.
