Q: So Andrew describe this film for someone who hasn't seen it.
WALTON: ARCTIC SON is, I guess a redemption story, if I was going to use one word. The film follows a father and son who have been estranged for the better part of about twenty years. They are reunited because the son is getting into some trouble and the father wants to try to straighten him out. And the film really follows their journey, uh, getting to know each other again and.... And then once they've gotten to know each other, the ups and downs that a lot of fathers and sons have in their relationship.
Q: How did you come to make this film? How did you meet Stanley, Jr. and what drew you to...to his story?
WALTON: Well ARCTIC SON kind of found me. The story sort of found me. I had been working in Old Crow for a number of years, uh, researching initially, a film about the drilling issue in the A...
