Timing and Cues
This script introduction can, if wished, replace the recorded introduction spoken by Bernadette Cahill:
Scottish-born and raised Dame Evelyn Glennie is believed to be the West's first full-time solo percussionist. She has played with countless orchestras and has many CDs, several books and a DVD to her credit. Independent producer Bernadette Cahill met her in Boone, North Carolina recently, just before she appeared as featured soloist with the Eastern Philharmonic Orchestra, in a performance of Joseph Schwantner?s Concerto for Percussion and Orchestra. Cahill asked Dame Evelyn first to comment on the fact that some people consider this her signature piece.
