Description:

Christopher Hitchens says he's an anti-theist, not an atheist. He says some atheists wish there were a God - but he does not. In his talk at Town Hall Seattle on June 7th, 2007, Hitchens says, "we know right from wrong without being told by a celestial dictatorship." He makes the case for a better society without religion or at least with a lot less of it. He also says there are way more agnostics in the U.S. than most people realize. Journalist Christopher Hitchens' latest book is: "God is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything." Hitchens' talk was sponsored by Town Hall Center for Civic Life and Elliott Bay Book Company.
