Default-piece-image-2 In the 1970's many of our parents embarked on a one way journey from India to the United States in the hopes of securing a future for themselves and their burgeoning families. Now their daughters have come of age, walking pieces of globalization, and deeply understand that we live on a planet, not simply in the United States. Growing up we heard about our mothers' childhoods and their arranged marriages. Now as we face adulthood, we compare and develop an understanding of our own childhoods, our present lives, and our futures to that of our mothers. Listen to two brilliant, beautiful 2nd generation Indian women talk about their mothers and themselves.
