Piece Description
An fictional audio play based on the day Annie Oakley met her future husband Frank Butler. A fun piece full of history and a classic romance told in a heartwarming and entertaining way. The year is 1876 and on a chilly Thanksgiving afternoon, Jack Frost, a Cincinnati hotel owner decided to have a little fun. With the help of Kentucky Fred, his friend and proprietor of a local shooting gallery, they set up a match of skill between Frank Butler, a well-known vaudevillian sharpshooter and a unknown contestant just in from the backwoods of Darke County, Ohio... The future Miss Annie Oakley. Performed in front of a studio audience in April and May of 2004 Suitable for: March - Women's History Month August - Annie Oakley's Birthday (No actual birds were harmed in the recording of this piece)
