Piece Description
The Holmes Brothers have been making exciting music for many years. Since entering the world of recording about a decade and a half ago, they have garnered international recognition. They consist of Wendell Holmes (guitar & keyboard), Sherman Holmes (bass), and "honorary brother" Popsy Dixon (drums). The Holmes' harmonies are scintillating. They bring the power of gospel music to everything they do, and their repertoire ranges from blues to country to pop. They do both originals and covers, bringing their own original sound to the covers. Their latest album "State Of Grace" is their tenth album. This hour of The Blues & Beyond features some of their performance at The Tin Angel in Philadelphia on January 28, 2007, with a short interview recorded right before the show.
